The aim of the Ethiopian Heritage Trust (UK) is to support the work of the Ethiopian Heritage Trust (“the Trust”) in Ethiopia.
The Trust’s Mission
The greening of Ethiopia and the preservation of historic buildings.
How it is set up
It is an independent, non-political, non-religious and non-profit making charity.
It is run by a group of elected trustees.
It is licenced to operate by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia’s Charities and Societies Agency.
How it Works
The Trust raises its own funds, but needs support.
Membership is open to all; fees are set low to encourage participation.
Since its foundation in 1992 over 15,000 volunteers have contributed their efforts.
